Here is the story:  1. Downloaded Skyview update 13.0.3.  2. Downloaded latest Aviation & Obstacle Databases  3. Transponder setup status indicated need to update.  4. Followed instructions.  After it loaded update xponder Status shows "Not Found".  Xponder shows "OFF LINE".  5.  Main screen shows red X for xponder.  Attempts to turn on and also to reboot has no effect.

I must be missing something.

There's a small possibility that your transponder update did not complete successfully. It's recoverable, but unfortunately we need to do it here. Before we jump to that conclusion though, give our technical support team a call at 425-402-0433 or an email at support at dynonavionics dot com.

Same sequence happened to me with 13.0.3. The only difference is that the transponder showed an updated status with SW 2.06. However, once the system was shut down and rebooted, the Transponder was off-line. I have a call into the support line.

After the transponder's firmware has been updated, power to the transponder must be turned off, then on again. We've had several calls today (Tuesday - post holiday) where the transponder appeared to be non-functional after an update, and the next morning it was working. What was apparently overlooked was cycling power on the transponder after the firmware update was complete. We're caught up in Technical Support from the holiday backlog - if you didn't hear back from Technical Support, please contact us again.
