Trim changes without command

I have a new Pipersport with the EMS/EFIS 100 AP74, HS34. When I'm working on menu choices etc., engine off, avionics on; after about 5 mins, the pitch and roll trims move to full excursion and remain there without any command from me. They do not reset until I bring them back to neutral by yoke command buttons. Is there an intentional reason for this action? I should catch it on the preflight but would prefer it did not happen.

Dynon systems to not have the ability to run the trim motors.

If the autopilot were engaged, though, it can move the actual control surfaces (the actual stick) when on the ground. This lets you easily test that it can control the aircraft.

If the actual stick isn't moving, though, the Dynon has no control over the trim motor movement you're seeing. We'd suggest that you touch base with your Pipersport dealer/service provider.

Note that IF the autopilot is accidentally (or intentionally) activated on the ground, it automatically disconnects as airspeed comes alive so that you don't takeoff with the autopilot trying to fly the airplane at a moment it clearly shouldn't be.

Thanks for the quick response. Close this ticket for Dynon. I'll follow up with Sport Aircraft. The trims work properly in flight and never articulate without command. The Dynon trim indicators also indicate correctly. I'll add information if I get a solution.
