My G430 put up a message last night that is had lost -429 input on channel 1. That is my Dynon, What is the best way to trouble shoot this problem.

Specifically is there any way to determine whether if it is a G430 problem or an HS-34/D100 problem, or a wiring problem....

I have not done the recent upgrade yet, and nothing has changed in my system in several months... Any ideas?????

First thing to check in my book would be to make sure the HS34 is basically working. Make sure the knobs can adjust the baro or something else.

Beyond that, you're looking at checking those particular ARINC wires/using a different ARINC transmitter in the aircraft (if you have one) to test the Garmin's input capability. Alternatively, we could test the HS34 to see if the ARINC-429 output isn't working right. But, my money would be on a wire that's disconnected.

You were correct, a pin backed out of the connector...

Thanks.
