Have complete HDX system with A/P in my A36 - works great BUT trying to help friend with a Cardinal with an AeroCruz100 (TruTrack) Garmin 355 with his HDX.
Cannot get A/P to display GPSS as it should.
Trying to find the wiring diagram interfacing these 3 INCLUDING the toggle switch labeled ‘SKYVIEW/GPS’ which I assume switches the 429 lines and/or 232 line.
No diagrams that I can find include that switch and what it switches
Thanks

I have the AeroCruz100 installed with my HDX system and the wiring referenced above is correct. It’s all how you do the configuration within the 355. Mine is married up to the Avidyne IFD 540, which is the same if using the Garmin GPS. I had to play with both the Arinc 429 and serial 232 bus configs within the IFD after triple checking the wiring. I did finally figure it out. You will need to fully understand the software setup for your 355. I labeled the switch as GPSS and HDG rather than Skyview/GPS. Either way, the Skyview mode is 232 bus only from the Dynon and the GPSS I mode is ARINC 429 bus from the IFD. If configured right, you get three modes on Aero Cruz; track, GPSS and Skyview (when selected as the HSI source on your PFD).

Attached is the relevant diagram that helped me solve the issue. Turns out our issue was the 429 wire from the Garmin GPS to the AP was open (broken somewhere). Replaced - and all is well.
