Hi,

A friend of mine is finishing off the building of an RV7 kit that has been sitting around for a while. The RV is in great condition and, luckily, the panel has not yet been started. The wing has already had a Trutrack DSP B Digital Servo installed and the pitch servo is ready to be connected. My recommendation is for a Dynon SkyView panel and my friend is almost certainly going to agree to this. However, I would like to establish for certain if the Dynon kit will work with the Trutrack servos or if we'd need to install Dynon servos.

As today was the first time I've had a look at the Trutrack servos I have no idea if they are 'signalled' via a CAN bus or RS232 but hopefully I should be able to establish that fairly soon.

Is anybody able to help in this quest for knowledge?

Thank you in advance,

Paul

My recollection is that the mounting of Dynon servos is identical, but the electronics are different, so that you will need Dynon servos, but maybe not the mounting kit.

Thanks Kelly. I would hate for him to continue with the Trutrack installation (i.e. use the servos and panel controller) and lose the functionality of the SkyView but, then again, it does seem a bit daft buying a couple of Dynon servos when you already have two.

Just to confirm - although they look similar, the way they work electronically is completely different, and can't be driven by SkyView.
