I am using the FltDek 180. I have a main and stby alternator. The suggested wire diagram has two shunt to two separate load meters, I can't figure out how to wire this to the -180, anyone else have a similar architecture? Do I need to get a separate steam gauge ammeter for my standby system. Thanks for the help.

The FlightDEK-D180 only has one shunt input. You can connect and use two, though, if you switch both lines that goes from the shunts to the inputs on the back of the unit.

You could use a biased switch so that the amps show for #2 Alt and momentarily hold the switch for checking #1 Alt.
So this situation will result in the Dynon showing system volts ( from 1 & 2 alt) however the Alternator warning light (on #1) will indicate a failure and the Amps indication (switch biased to that position) will do likewise on #2 Alt.
