Two Ammeter Readings

Am installting a electric system with a SD-8 backup alternator. would like to read its output and that of the main alternator, Any problem with putting in a switch to select which shut the EMS 12O will use? Can I use a GP input?

You can put a switch in if you wish. The shunt has two wires, and you'll need to switch both, so you'll need a DPDT switch.

The amps shunt doesn't hook to a GP input and we don't support any kind of amps sensor on that port, so you can't do that.
