Unreliable oil temperature indications

I have a Skyview system on my io0320 powered RV9A. I have approximately 10 hours on the engine. In the last 3 hours, I have experienced wildly fluctuating oil temperature spikes. I have the standard Dynon supplied single wire temperature sensor and prior to my last flight, swapped it to a new sensor of the same design with even less consistent readings. I suspect that there may be an issue with grounding through the engine case as CHT's, Oil pressure and EGT's support normal operations. Is there a recommended two wire sensor, and if so, is it OK to use one of the spare EMS ground wires to ground the sensor.

Thanks in anticipation

The oil temperature sensor is a lot more sensitive to grounding issues than all of the rest, but much less so on SkyView than on the D10/D100 series products. Since the sensor only has one wire, the engine case is used as the ground path. So the first place to look into is grounding issues between the engine block and the rest of the electrical system. That said, for two wire probes, both the UMA 1BX series of sensors and the MS28034-3 sensor from this page are supported in SkyView. The westach one isn't. There's also a GRT oil temperature sensor - FT-LC-01 - that also works.
