Updating autopilot servos

I bought my servo in anticipation of it working with the SkyView system, since I need to fabricate a mount for my aircraft while I am building my wing.
Unfortunately, living in Canada, shipping it back to Dynon for a firmware update will be quite expensive.
Surely there must be another option ?
Will a new version of the SkyView software allow it to update old firmware servos ?
Is there a convenient way to use a D100 installed in another aircraft (that has no autopilot servo) without messing up the installation and configuration of the D100 ?
How about an electronic interface I could easily build that could program it from a PC ?
Thanks,

If you can hook it to a D100 and then update the D100, this will work. This shouldn't mess with the D100's setup. We don't have all the software to do that quite yet but will next week.

There won't be a way to do it from SkyView, nor a PC directly. Sorry, we would do these things if they were easy, but they are quite difficult, so the D100 or mail it to us options are really the only ones.

Just to clarify completely, this process will require updating the software in the D100 at the same time as updating the servo ?

Yes, the D100 will need to upgrade to 5.2 at the same time (unless it's already at 5.2). If you really don't want this, you can take a backup of the D100 before the update and then restore it when you are done.
