Hi Dynonsupport,
I have the EFIS D-10 # serial number 001814
I plan to pass to EFIS D-10A but also to equip the EFIS with a compatible EDC to my model.
It seems me to have read that for 350 USD I could make adapt my EFIS D10 to the current version of the D10A.
Does there exist the possibility of carrying out a upgrade without sending the EFIS to the USA?
I live in Argentina and the shipping abroad have the bad habits of loose.....More the customs is very difficult, expensive and not very reliable. :-X
If I wish to order a EDC, is this last specific to the model of EFIS?
In advance thank you for your next answer.

Greetings
Jean-Jacques

Hi Jean-Jacques,

The upgrade involves an extensive modification to the internal hardware of the EFIS and can not be done in the field. The unit will need to come back if you'd like it upgraded.

Note that the upgrade cost is indeed $350, and the remote compass upgrade costs $50 if you already have one that you are sending back. If you do not, a new EDC-D10A costs $100. The EDC-D10A is specific to the EFIS-D10A, EFIS-D100, and FlightDEK-D180. If you want a remote compass for your EFIS-D10, you would order the EDC-D10 instead.

Thank you for the answer which I did not entirely understand.
If I carry out the modification of my EFIS-D10, will it become a standard EFIS-D10A with which I could associate the EDC-D10A?
If I do not wish to take the risk of the sending of my EFIS in the USA for modification, is it possible to equip it with a compatible EDC with a EFIS of first standard generation D-10?
Best regards.

Yes - If you have an upgraded EFIS-D10A, you would buy an EDC-D10A.

If you keep the EFIS-D10, we do still sell EDC-D10 units as well.

Hi Dynon support it's me again...
Thank you for your answers.
Today I have problem of update of the checklist.
I installed on the EFIS version 1.13.00 of the firmware.
I could write a news checklist. The transfer of the checklist is normal. However when I want to read the checklist, nothing works any more: Illegible symbols are readable in bottom of the screen of the EFIS, the EFIS shut down and then restarts. Moreover Product Support Program does not answer any more on the computer.
You have an idea?
Best regards

We've seen this before, but usually it only happens if you use an old support program to update checklists on a unit with new firmware. Did you use a different computer with an older support program to update your checklists after you updated the firmware on the unit?

If you made a backup before you started the upload, restoring it will revert everything back to the way it was before the upload. Then, you would upgrade again, and using the same version of the support program, you could then program your checklists.
