Great job on the new software update. The audio alerts are great safety feature.
Keep up the good work

Even if it was 11 PM (in France) I've just updated to 3.3.
Tomorrow I will do some wiring to connect the audio output.

When is 3.4 release expected? (no just kidding)

Thank you very much Dynon for your work.

Hi Chaps (well I am British),

Just downloaded 3.3 having downloaded the new manual earlier - like the new user waypoint features and the improved mapping with the full pocket FMS updates - 7 letter identifiers. This will make a big difference to our VFR Navigation over here.

Like the new Audio alerts - should be interesting hearing all my boxes speaking at once!

best regards and thanks.

I'll download and install it when I get home, but...is there a way to demo/test the various audio alert sounds/phrases?

Re: V3.3 ( Display Pictures)

Can anyone post a few pictures of the new display looks with 3.3 installed..
--An audio file of the alerts will be nice to hear too..

I won't fly my RV-4 for another month  still and I like to see & hear the new changes before that if I may..

Thanks..

Bruno :)

They should still work and automatically convert in the new system. They'll all be of the "yellow pin" type, but you can then edit them right in SkyView, or export them from SkyView and go nuts on them in excel (the export format is CSV, and described in the manual). Old Google Earth waypoint files are also importable.

Yes, there is a full audio setup menu that allows you to test and hear every sound the system can make.

Thanks for the release of V3.3. I can't wait to give it a really good workout. I was hoping my clicking/popping sounds would go away with the new firmware but looks like I'll be sending my units back instead. Thanks in advance for fixing them.

Oh, and by the way, the dates on the documentation page for installation and user guides show 3/5/11. Hmmm.. maybe an indicator of how hard you guys have been working to get it out?  ;)

Uploaded this evening...very nice! Glad to have the audio alert for AOA (that was way up on my list of things to add), and all the rest are a bonus...

My wife said "G's" sounded like "cheese", though LOL!

Seriously...nice feature...thanks!

Now...get to work on that fully coupled vertical nav approach capability! :)

I hesitate to ask this, but what the heck...

Is there a way to "customize" the audio alert sound files? :)

No, at this point there is not a way to edit or update the files.

If you'd like to offer some free voice talent services, and you double pinkie promise to always be availible when we need to add a new alert message, then maybe we can put in your voice for everyone to hear ;)

Does this release correct the network failure if the EMS module fails? I can't remember if that is coming mid summer or with this release.

This release has some improvements in robustness against a module failure, but the full redundancy that will protect against 99.9% of failures is currently being implemented and is planned for the next release.

OK, so I'm adding to my wish list...the ability to upload audio files and match them to specific alerts. :)

And she needs a name, eh? Hmmmm....
