Val Nav 2000 to Skyview wiring diagram

Hi all.
I have a VFR panel (10" HDX, (1) SV-COM) and I'm adding the 355 and Val Nav 2000 to move into IFR. I'm not a professional installer and I'll figure it out but I'm looking for some guidance as to how to wire the 2000 to the Skyview. I know the 355 will use the SV-ARINC-429 but not the 2000 right? I think the NAV is a serial port (#4) connection. Anyone with a diagram they can share?

The 2000 is RS-232 only. No ARINC.

I tried installing a NAV 2KR and while I got it to set the VOR frequency, it would cause the radio to stop receiving about 1/3 of the time. Requiring a power cycle to fix it. I swapped it for replacement, same thing. Finally gave up and sold if for a song on ebay. Waste of time. The 2KR does not have a way to swap frequencies from HDX natively, since HDX sets only background frequencies and has no swap button, but I had a microcontroller programed to output the correct settings on the fly to make it work, it would switch, but would not tune after switching without a power cycle. This also happened on bench testing just sending control signals from PC, I would not count on remote operation of a VAL NAV. Once tuned and working the VOR would light up and track, but careful antenna placement is nessesary as well.
