Hi,
I have installled a T piece in the water coolant line on a Rotax 912uls and fitted a VDO temp sensor (supposed to be the same as Rotax CHT sensor) connected to Pin10 on the Skyview EMS. I now seem to be having an issue with configuring it. I must admit that it never occured to me that this wouldn't work. Should it?
Any thoughts or advise please.

Thanks,

Alan

It should work, but what issues are you having?

One point- the sensor is a single wire sensor which means it uses the engine block for ground. If you have it in a line and housing that is an insulator, then you need to run a wire from the sensor case to ground somehow.

The issue was spurious readings, like minus 85degrees!

I did as you suggested and earthed the sensor body and hey-ho I now get correct readings. It is obvious really I suppose but someone else pointing out the obvious sometimes is all that it takes.... :)

Thanks again for the help.
