Vertical Power for GPS 175?

I have a SV/HDX system in my RV-7A and am installing a GPS 175. The GPS 175 installation manual says the GPS 175 can't share a circuit breaker and should be powered from an avionics or essential bus. My plane uses a Vertical Power VP-X Sport electronic CB system to route power to its various systems and components. Has anyone used VP to power the GPS 175, and if so, any tips?

What I do is just select any 5amp circuit & then label it as Garmin 175 & allocate it to an avionics switch (you can have many other avionics allocated to it too) & you’re good to go.
