Videos of 7" Screen?

Do you have any plans to put out any videos of the 7" screen Skyview? I do not have room for the 10" screen and am wondering about readability of the smaller screen.
Thanks

Alan,
The 7" SkyView is identical to the 10" SkyView, except everything on the screen is 30% smaller. I'm not sure a video can capture this difference well, since video is inherently scaled and much lower resolution than our screens.

Maybe the best thing to do is to take a 10" display screen shot, and using your printer's scaling capability, scale it down so that it has a 7" diagonal screen.

OK, I scaled the 10" display picture of the SV 'mountain' to a 7" diagonal size. What I found was the HSI is much too small to be usable. What is the likelihood that the HSI will be made bigger? Actually the way Advanced does the HSI is very elegant... any chance you'd have something similar? That would make the HSI a size that works on a smaller display. Thanks

Putting the HSI in the center gets in the way of a flight director, flight path indicator, heading numbers and bugs on the horizon, synthetic vision, and anything else we try and put on the screen. Also, we only have space in the middle of the screen when it's 100%, and lots of customers run 50% or 40% PFDs, so it's nice to not move things around when you change size.

There is a chance we'll change anything that customers ask us to. Changing the size of the HSI on the 7" screen isn't currently on the list but it will be if we get enough interest. Everything we do in terms of sizing and locating things is always a tradeoff between customers asking us to put larger things on the screen vs. putting 142 more things on the screen ;)

How about if there was an option to split the screen 2/3 - 1/3 and put the HSI on the 1/3 part?, like the D-100? That might be an easy fix (maybe it's already available?). Thanks

It's not in our current plans, but we're always listening. Pretty small likelihood of adding back that side-by-side version of the HSI given the overall current design. Also note that once you have the map going, you'll be able to bring that up with the course line drawn right on the map.

IMO opinion you need to scale up the HSI on the 7" display as it is about useless in it's current size, which is smaller than a ping pong ball. Many pilots, including me, use an HSI all the time.

Anybody out there flying with the 7" screen that could comment on this issue.  The HSI looks really small, but maybe in practice the digital heading display at the top is large enough top provide the information?  It's hard to tell from a picture/video.  A flight test report would be nice from anyone flying the 7 inch display.  Let us hear from you.
Thanks.

I currently am flying the 7in screen in my 8 an its plenty big enough. I do not have the engine gauges however so I split the screen 50 50. I'm using the EIS 4000 for engine info. I know I could have put the Dynon engine setup in easy enough, but I've gotten kinda use to the digital presentation. I fly it IFR an have found the compass fine
