VNAV Blue Tick Gone

I just updated my Skyview Classic firmware to 16.4.4 and now when I use the VNAV feature to navigate to a runway threshold I no longer get the blue tick mark on my VSI to verify if I am on the 3% glidepath. I do get the magenta arrow, but not the blue tick. I have double checked the settings in the Map Menu/VS REQ'D. Anyone else having this problem?

That was removed along with the ability to arm VNAV descent as soon as the aircraft levels from the climb with firmware version 16. It is the reason I reverted to 15.4. The VNAV will still work in your version but you can only arm it within a few minutes of the top of descent for the computed descent profile. TOD is not shown. You will get an audio "Approaching VNAV..." with your version. The VNAV depiction is no longer shown on the VSI but is moved to the HSI and appears to be identical to the RNAV glide slope and is also magenta. I personally believe this is not as safe as one could misinterpret the RNAV vs VNAV for vertical guidance without careful monitoring of autopilot armed/engaged mode annunciation at the top of the PFD.

The very latest Skyview user manual for 16.4.4 describes using the VNAV feature and the blue tick mark on the VSI, so I am confused when you say that was removed in version 16.0.

If they have added it back, I was unaware of this subsequent change. Which version were you running previous to 16.4.4?

Prior to 16.4.4 I was running 16.0.
Dynon Tech Support said they have not made any changes in this area for some time.
