Hi, I'm installing a Skyview system right now. Some of the EMS's General Purpose inputs will be used to measure existing sensors (i.e. flap position potentiometer) which will undoubtedly have a (fused) 12V DC input across them to drive existing VDO instruments. Is this an ok configuration for an EMS GP Input?

Thanks!

First, I assume you mean that you want to replace the VDO instruments with the SkyView. You cannot drive both an analog instrument and SkyView from one source.

And second, you do need to replace the 12v source with a 5v source from SkyView. You won't harm the SkyView, but the general purpose inputs can only read up to 5 volts.
