Has any progress been made concerning the voltage requirement from the lasar ignition and the D180 10-12 volt requirement?

We haven't developed anything on our end. However, a customer recently reported that that it worked without any converter. On spec, it shouldn't, so we're not quite sure what the truth is. Here's an excerpt from their report:

---
I am not sure or aware of any changes on the Lasar side. Someone told me the Lasar signal is around 7.5V. I have just connected it directly to the Green/white wire and it works 100%. By the way this is also the way we have done it on our first Rv7A and it is still ok after about two years.

It's won't harm it. It just won't display correct RPM if the voltage isn't high enough.

I have a back up RPM that I bought through Van's and will use that to compare. I'll get back to Dynon and let you know how the unit compares to the stand by.
