VOR Identifier on D100

I am using an SL30 with the D100. I have a question:

Should the VOR identifier stay visible on the D100 (indefinitely) or does it disappear after a certain amount of time?

It persists the message for as long as the SL30 sends it (which is presumably something like "as long as the decodable morse is being received, give or take some time for intermittency). So I can't really answer that directly - you'd have to ask Garmin for the underlying behavior.
