Dear all,

Hope you are doing well.

VP-X vertical power integration indication problem
I am facing a problem during integration with Dynon Skyview D1000. When I connect the serial port with Dynon Skyview D1000. It shows VP-X Graphical User Interface. But the Alternator Widget / Indication is not visible there. it is just showing Battery Widget / Indication and main bus Widget / Indication . kindly guide me about this. which pin of VP-X is required to connect with PPS or VP-X pin for alternator indication.

Asad, I'm not sure of your question here however if you have a single Alt -
Internally regulated alternator - connect its 'field' wire to J12-11 on the VPX & use 1 of the external switch inputs ( connector J2) to switch it on/off, connect the other side of switch to ground.
Externally regulated Alternator - connect its field wire to the voltage regulator & run a wire from J12-11 to the regulators power input.
A picture would help us understand your problem or maybe I've nailed it ?

If you have an external regulator & the PPS then wire the volt sense wire as per page 11 of the PPS manual ( Rev F1 April 2022).

Asad - Thanks for the pictures, it helps a lot.
Ok- you have 2 x alternators with remote regulators, correct ?
Sec Alt is shown on the 'list' - it should be controlled by a switch that has both alternator control input, Alt or Alt 2, (never both on at the same time).
Are both alternators switching done by separate switch inputs on connector J2 ?

Ps - there are other 'issues' we should discuss, a LPW via a PM would help.

jake. Thanks for the replies.
I have one alternator . I got your point, second incircle (Aux Alternator) is for 2nd alternator.
..First alternator indication is on main bus.
...let me further clear. when alternator Pin gets high main bus indication widget gets green but alternator voltage not shown on main bus line. Rather voltage of battery start showing alternator voltage or continuously increase and reached to voltage of alternator and gives fault indication of battery high voltage, in my point of view it get increase slowly or voltage of battery remain same and voltage of alternator is shown separately .

1. disable sec alt in VPX menu
2. PM = Personal Message me the LPW VPX (Load Planning Worksheet).
3. I can see there are other 'issues' that need to be fixed.
4. what brand (Manufacturer) of Alternator & Voltage regulator are you using.
5. There are a few other items that need fixing here.
