What is the MAGADJ function ?

Hi all,

I did the heading calibration, without problem, as it is said in the manual. The résult is quite good.

But, I see in the MAGCAL menu a MAGADJ function witch is not described. It seems to offert an adjustement possibility ....

Any further information ?

Hi Michel,

The MAGADJ function simply rotates the heading. It would be used if you found that the heading was always off by a small amount in one direction. If your calibration is good, though, you shouldn't need to touch it at all.

Very well. As I prefer to use real GPS track, with MAGADJ, I can make the compas indicate true heading. In France the declination is quite constant (approx 2° W) and it is simpler to do in this way ..
