Which Direction for IFR set up?

Hey guys,

I have a Thorp T18 Experimental (build complete in 2010) with a beautiful panel. The Original builder opted for a Dynon D100, and the AP74 auto pilot. Previous owner installed a Garmin 300XL, and a GTX 327 Transponder, and a Garmin 796 Aera (which drives the AP).

My question is, what direction should I go to be able to realistically shoot approaches. I am IFR certificated, but the plane I did my training in had a Garmin 650, 2 G5s, an additional Bendix king nav/comm, and a CDI.

Any suggestions on where I should begin this IFR avionics journey?

It's not really clear (at least to me) in your post whether you want to keep the D100 and add to it or if you want to upgrade to a SkyView system. Which is it?

Nice T18.

I fly IFR with a D100 paired with GNS430W.

You could just change out your navigator and be happy.

Unless your wife is your navigator. But to be fair, that could still make some folks happy.
