The Dynon Installation Manual says:

“If your aircraft is equipped with a master contactor or a relay that is operated by the master
switch, it is imperative that the coil of the contactor or relay is protected by a diode to reduce
the voltage spike seen when the contactor is turned off. Without this diode, the aircraft system
can see spikes above 100V, which can damage Dynon equipment and other avionics.
While some contactors have this diode internally, many do not. Please verify the existence of
this diode before operating your Dynon equipment. Any diode that is rated for more than 1A
and more than 50V is suitable. Vans Aircraft part number ES DIODE MASTER is also a suitable
option”

On my Main System I have a master relay from White Rodgers 70-111226.  The Schematic does not show diode within the relay housing (see attached schematic).

How can I ensure this diode is present in the contactor?

Does anyone know how to wire in the ES DIODE MASTER???  It looks to be a simple wire with the diode installed.  The SV manual does not show how to wire in this diode...

The ES DIODE looks to eb a diode with two ends of wire and since I am trying to reduce wire connections can anyone PLEASE provide a part number of a diode that I can wire myself?

THANKS!!!

You could just install a diode as specified in the Garmin GTN-650 (includes part# it has a very fast reaction time) across the avionics bus then everything is protected. This will also address any spikes coming from the starter motor. ;)

Pay attention to the stripe on the diode:
