Are there any plans for the Dynon software upgrades to be loaded using a Mac computer? With more and more people abandoning the PC and going to Apple products, it would seem to make sense to offer Mac compatible support. I personally have a MacBook Air for my laptop and I have no desire to purchase a copy of Windows to load onto it for very occasional use.
Thanks.

SkyView has always bee upgradeable by a Mac since it first shipped in 2009.

All you do to upgrade it is download a file using a web browser onto a USB drive. It doesn't care if you used a Mac, Windows, Linux, or Android to download it. You can't use an iOS device because they refuse to let you save data to a USB device.

The only data that can be an issue is if you use a third party data provider like Jeppesen or Seattle Avionics. They distribute files in a way that can be more difficult with a Mac, but not impossible. Not much we can do about that since we don't run those companies and don't have rights to distribute the data.

I guess I should have given more info. I have a D100 in my RV6. No Skyview. Per your website, the upgrade program for the D100 is only Windows compatible.........

Goes both ways. I'm a little ticked that Foreflight is Apple only - but that's just me. :-/
