Hello Everyone, I'm new to forums in general so please let me know if i missed any pre requisite steps for reaching out.
I am about to start installing my new Advanced flight systems built SV-HDX 1100 panel components in a 2001 built RV8 (N208DC). Looking for advice from those that have already been there /done that with tried and true results. Before I start fabricating component mounting brackets and such I'd like to be sure there's not some already made parts out there to make this install as easy as possible. For example: fasttrack essentials component trays for remote components.
1. SV-MAG-236 mount in the Wing tip? and is there a Van's made or aftermarket part available? wing mount bracket? (D10A backup EFIS data already comes from a shelf in the tail).
2. GPS antenna location? fwd of Firewall Garmin WAAS antenna also?
3. Components to be located/stacked: SV-ADSB-472 ; SV COMM 760 ; SV xpndr; and a remote comm radio
