Hello,
I want to wire a switch to one of the EMS general purpose contacts, so that it provides a simple "on/off" indication for my parking brake.
The switch has the usual 3 terminals (NC / NO / COM).
I presume I simply wire the NO terminal to one of the spare EMS contact terminals, and the COM terminal to the aircraft's common starpoint earth or Dynon D120 earth terminal? Seems too simple...
Can you advise if I've understood that correctly? The unit just looks for a circuit closed to earth to switch the contact?
Should be including a resistor in line with the switch to limit how much current flows back to the earth in those wires?
Sorry if I am over-complicating a simple thing.
Merry Christmas!
