wiring D180 & D100 together for audio alerts

Hi everyone. I have a D180 and a D100 installed and ready to go except for the audio alerts. I do not have them connected by DSB. Can I wire both units to the potentiometer (green, white/orange, green wiring) together, to the potentiometer thru the intercom and be able to hear them by pilot and co-pilot. Appreciate any help.

You can tie the two outputs together and then into a potentiometer.

I have to ask though, why are they not connected via DSAB? If you do this, you won't have to set the baro, bugs, HSI, etc, on each screen, and then you can hook just the D180 audio up.
