wiring EGT-CHT terminal choice

Hello Dynon,

I see some home builders on blog sites changing the EGT-CHT terminals by others ( D-SUB, molex,..). Is it only aesthetic or do they think those which are included in the Kavlico kit are not the best one for the best connection ?

The spade connectors, if not well-crimped, tend to be an area where EGT and CHT connections loosen up. It didn't help that for a time a while back we had some quality problems with these connectors as well. So they're OK for the connection, if well-crimped, but some people like to change them out.
