I am currently running wires in my RV9. I am planning 1 10" Skyview (to start). I have a couple of questions that I hope will help me run some wires until I get the Units.

1. Aileron and Elevator Position wires from Ray Allen servos.
Do they get wired to the SkyView (Panel) or to a remote unit?

2. The prefabbed wire harness you are going to offer. Is that the complete wiring bundle minus power and grounds and position inputs from servos?

3. I assume the EMS module will be installed in FWD fuse panel area. Is that correct?

4. Pitot, Static and AOA lines get routed to the ADAHRS only. Correct?

You guys are doing a great job with customer support. It is much appreciated.

The trim and flap position wires go to the EMS module. You can put the EMS module anywhere inside the aircraft that you like. It cannot be on the engine side of the firewall.

The wiring harness for the EMS is the same one we sell today. It has 6' wires on each of the inputs. You'll need to extend these out to your actual trim motors.

Pitot, Static, and AoA need to go to our AHRS as well as any other equipment you might have in the plane that uses those systems.

also,,, Im planning on keeping my D10A as a B/U EFIS to the Skyview system. Can I connect the AutoPilot DSAB wires to both the Skyview and D10A allowing for B/U autopilot capability as well? Or should I have this as a switched connection?

Ken,
The SV has only one power input. We found basically nobody ever used the two inputs on the current products, and it causes a fair amount of inefficency. If you really want this, just use two diodes to allow feeding from two points. Just use a sufficiently large diode (10A+).

You cannot have a SkyView and a current product on the same network at the same time. So you can install a switch if you want, but be aware you can't switch in the air. Current products "forget" the servo cal if they are booted without a servo connected, so you can't switch the AP back to current products in the air and then use it.
