FlyingEZ:
Those who upgrade from our EMS-D10/EMS-D120/FlightDEK-D180 to SkyView EMS often don't have to do much if anything - see the
D10/D100 Series to SkyView Conversion Guide if you're interested in the details. We designed the SkyView EMS module to be largely plug and play compatible with the earlier EMS units. So, there aren't likely to be too many used Dynon EMS harnesses available for sale.
Dynon's "Engine Sensor Main Wire Harness" is one standard length with the intent that you add the wiring necessary between the Dynon harness and the actual sensor.
Dynon's CHT/EGT harnesses usually have enough wire to run from the panel into the engine compartment and mate with the leads from the CHT and EGT sensors.
There's nothing complex about these harnesses - they can easily be custom-made by any harness vendor per your length requirements.
Have picked up an EMS D-10. I wondered if those who have upgraded to the bigger units that use a module to send data to the instrument have to replace their harness and senders?
Also I have a longer than normal run from engine to panel, how do I measure for my wiring? Can it be ordered long and cut to fit?
Thank you.
