Zeroing the skid and slip ball

My Instrument panel in my Jabiru seems to have sagged a little on the pilot side. Presumably due to the weight of t he instruments etc in our hot weather.  Now my skid ball is reading slightly off to the left when the plane is standing on flat ground, with wings and body measured  horizontal.
The proper fix is obviously to redo the whole panel and align everything properly, which I will have to do but at present I have  some trips I need to do and re-fitting the panel is a big job.

In the interim is there a way to "zero" the skid ball on the ground while the Dynon has a slight tilt to the left?

Thanks

John

Re: My jabiru

I do not believe so.

There is a series or fasteners with rubber grommets that hold the whole fibre glass console up, you could try refitting it with a twist the other way.

Re: Zeroing the slip & skid ball

As I said. it's a big job. Simply tightening the fasteners and grommets hasn't worked. The console needs some fibreglass fillets installed to make it sit square again. To gain adequate access some of the instruments and much of the looms have to be removed.

All a big job and one which I intend to do in about a fortnight or so but don't have the time at present.

I might just have to cerebrally recenter it until then.

There is not adjustment for the ball. It's calibrated at the factory, with no provision for the user to adjust. It's also an indicator that the whole inertial platform that makes up the attitude is a bit off, so I wouldn't be surprised if you also saw the attitude lean a bit in flight.

Yep, But I only fly VFR so the attitude line being a little off was ignorable.

I will do a full console readjust in the next week or so when I get time.

Thanks
