Greetings Dynonians!
Alex Rose, brand new member on the forum as of 10 minutes ago on this end.
I’m building my panel for a Sportsman 2+2 with a SV HDX and need some guidance for the intercom system. The 2+2 is exactly as advertised - 2 adults + 2 kids. My grandkids will be flying with me infrequently but I still want them to be included in comms so they will learn at an early age what I found to be confusing and intimidating learning at a late age working on my PPL. Thus my questions to my wizened forum members are these: #1. Can I add a second SV-Intercom panel with to run off my HDX that will permit grandkids to be included in flight comms? And #2. I have an older ANR headset but I’m very interested in the new gen wireless ones - What is the most efficient (read “economical” but still robust) way to include 4 sets of eardrums on an aircraft intercom system? Initial investigations have revealed Bluetooth is only single device pairing so I may have to go with an RF type system with individual Bluetooth input for aural warnings/indications from IPad and EFIS. (I think?)
About me: Will be 60 in 6 weeks, but other than my left knee at times feel like I’m 50... Airframe and most engine systems complete, wings & tailfeathers painted, seating and interior about 75% complete. I sell instruments, control valves, liquid and gas analyzers to chemical, pulp & paper, and power plants for a living. Have a fairly good understanding of electronics and mechanical systems but avionics is for now a steep learning curve.
Any assistance is much appreciated.
Cheers.

While you could feasibly install 2 SV intercoms, it would be much cheaper and easier to get a 4 place intercom or audio panel from PS Engineering or one of the other manufacturers

Don, I am at this stage now (looking for a 4 seater intercom to replace my installed SV-INTERCOM-2S). However, none of them (Flight Tech, Sigtronics, PS Eng) offer some of the benefits of Dynon's one - Skyview connection, NAV option, dimmer, etc. I get the price of getting another intercom from you is more expensive but, if there is a possibility, do you have a diagram of how to connect all crew+passengers with 2 INTERCOM-2S?
