Feature request - fuel remaining

In addition to the warnings on fuel levels in each tank ("Fuel Quantity"), I'd like to request that Dynon add a feature to alert when the computed fuel remaining (computed using the fuel flow) reaches a set value. Would serve as a backup to the fuel level indications, and as accurate (or inaccurate) as fuel level sensors are in tanks, seems this would be a very accurate measure (mine is) and a nice safety feature.

Oh, and while I'm thinking about it...can you *please* fix the combined EGT/CHT graph on the 20% EMS page so the text "EGT" and "CHT" is not clipped off? They extend beyond the boundaries of the 20% screen.

That was not the "fuel remaining" request I was expecting to see, I was going to chime in and repeat the earlier requests for having a measurement of fuel remaining at the destination. We have a fuel remaining at next waypoint calculation - but that's not nearly as useful for determining the need of a fuel stop as fuel remaining at final destination.

That should be doable as well, and useful when a destination is set. Sometimes we just go fly around with no particular destination.

But that idea could work..."Destination Fuel" would be what I would have it say :) .

The only problem with that is that it's going to be changing quite a bit during climb and descent, although it should be stable during level cruise.

No, fuel *remaining* is whatever there is *right now*, rather than a prediction in the future. Fuel at Destination, of course, changes. But that's not what I was requesting for an alarm setpoint.

Skyview already provides two calculated bits of information which are excellent . . . endurance and range. I use both extensively, especially during cross-country flights.

Looking at your screen shot I see a couple of great additions (used and remaining) looks like they are pretty close to your levels, so assuming the levels are set lower than computer (mine are the same by .02) you can just rely on a minimum allowed per side and allow that alarm to address the low fuel warning. I rely on 5 per side (10 per hour reserve) to alert me to low fuel I prefer that to a total that would alert later than have half as much warn me. Yes, I spent time through the years resetting each level to get accuracy during flight so this works for me and may not for you, but I also know Dynon has put V16 off almost a year now and I just want it released with something we cant control- Destination versus waypoint is higher on my triage list. Certainly not saying your remaining fuel isnt a priority just that there is a work around until maybe the next release.
2) Go to latest install manual 7-85 for resizing instructions on the CHT/EGT. There are different sizes you can choose for the 20% and your at a size larger than you should have. My setup has 6 cylinders with CHT/EGT below the numbers on 20% and it fits fine.

Nope. None of the sizes fit. I *just* verified that (again), 2 minutes ago. There are 3 sizes of this widget in this style, and they *all* chop off the lettering on the sides.
