I’ve read previous posts but didn’t see a solution. I’ve got a Lycoming IO-360, with a slick mag on the left and a P-Mag on the right. My normal mag has the 30K Ohm resistor on it and is connected to pin 32 on the EMS; my P-Mag is connected to pin 33.
On my first engine run, I noticed the RPM was reading 2650, yet I guessed it to be about half that and at idle, it was reading about 1400/1500 RPM. I’ve looked into setup of the EMS and the pulses per revolution is set to 1.
My thinking is that, if I simply add another 30K Ohm resistor to the left Mag wire, it would have no effect on the P-Mag input and, therefore, would still give me a high RPM. What am I missing?
