Today when I tried to upload a flight plan from Foreflight to SkyView HDX there was no WiFi signal to be found.
Is there a step here that I'm missing or is my WiFi adaptor malfunctioning?

Thanks.

Not sure what the error message would be, but if you have multiple HDXs, you need an adapter for each HDX. Just a guess.

My issue with the is the Wifi not connecting while the aircraft is in flight. At the initial start of the Foreflight on my iPad, I was able to connect to the Dynon HDX. But about 1/2 way into the flight, when looking at the iPad, the network connection was disconnected. The aircraft position didn't appear on Foreflight and all the subsequent tracklog was lost.

Sometimes, the wifi connection reconnect but more often than not, the wifi went away until l powered back up the Dynon HDX on the ground before the next flight leg.

This happens on every flight of my RV-9A, dual HDX. No fix that I am aware of at this time.

Thanks for the data point. I was afraid that only I had the problem. I have to use the Sentry unit again with Foreflight because I can't rely on the Dynon HDX for the connection.

I often have this problem, to the extent I swapped my USB's around to put the "map" USB in the back of the display and the Wifi adapter in the easily-gettable pigtail USB socket. All I do is unplug the wifi adapter, wait a moment, and plug it back in. Seems to fix it every time so far with my
SV-D1000 non-touch and the ancient iPad 2.

I am constantly checking my iPad for the WIFI connection issue with ForeFlight. In my last flight last weekend, I had no issue with the WIFI connection on my outbound leg. But at the start of my return leg, after I started the engine, looking at the iPad, there was no WIFI connection icon. I cycled the WIFI on the iPad but it did not get the connection. I swiped and closed the ForeFlight and restarted the ForeFlight app. Right after it restarted, the WIFI connection appeared and I was able to upload my flight plan to SkyView.

So a suggestion to those who are having Wifi Problem, perform the following test and report back on this forum so we can get a good statistical results

Option 1: cycle WIFI power: => successful (Y/N)
Option 2: cycle Foreflight App: => successful (Y/N)

In my case, Option 1 sometimes worked. Last weekend was the first time I tried Option 2.
I had the same issued in another XC trip when using Option 1 didn't work. So basically the iPad was a dead weight other than using it as an old Sectional Chart. I didn't think to use Option 2.

Keep on beta testing.
