Swatson, where did I imply that the AOA would calibrate itself? Having READ the above emails I am in a quandry. I will give you the "hidden" and replace it with "out of order". Does that help? I've only done 8 panels over the years, so I am still learning. By the way the AOA/Pitot manual does...
Thank you Raymo for the info. But.....here is the problem: The 500 page installation guide covers the calibration of the indicator with no mention of the blank box, (5-22 ). The Dynon AOA Pitot Plumbing Guide only discusses plumbing. No mention of the main screen. The Pilot's User guide (4-22)...
Thank you swatson !! That sentence certainly helps answer the question. Problem is...Where did you find it? And why could I not find that sentence? I just reread the section on AOA cal. and that sentence is not there. (5-22,install) I just reread Fig. 57, and still no info. So here I sit...
You are correct, my entire system is Dynon. I watched one video that showed a person real time conducting the stall tests. That particular series of stalls had the AOA rectangle already filled with the chevrons before the test even started. The Install manual sort of leaves that important...
I can not find any info on what the AOA block is supposed to be. Empty until an AOA flight test? Or all the chevrons, but not calibrated?
I do NOT have a heated probe, HDX, one screen, ADAHRS working fine on 3 test flights
Thanks
Rhino, Thanks for the reply. I have a unique arrangement with my panel (RV8) in that after removing all the panel/sidepanel screws the panel drops down to a near horizontal position. Thus I can work on the whole backside and wiring on the backside panel of the baggage compartment. Service loops...
Rhino, your answer made me think and I spent a few hours researching the shunt. All this time I thought the shunt was a form of circuit breaker-safety devise. It is nothing more than a measuring tool. The VM1000 I replaced used a donut type device to measure the load, and I assumed the...
I am doing a HDX retro fit on my RV8. It was built back in 2000, and used the Aero Electric over voltage/crow bar system. Should I still use the Dynon Shunt?
I have checked with Aero E. but no response. If I did remove the overvoltage system, should I still use the Crow Bar?
Thanks for the help.
