This is fantastic news, and something many of us have waited years for. I’m grateful that Dynon is making this announcement ahead of certification, as I‘ve been very close to pulling the trigger on a Garmin solution. Figuring out how to reconfigure my panel to fit a stand alone navigator has...
Rhino, yes 18650. I fat-fingered that. And yes, I known the BMS is in the pack. I‘m just curious if there‘s some other protection in there that would justify the high price. I suppose not.
Thanks for the link RVDan. $90 is a far better deal than what Dynon offers, but since I have the equipment...
Given the rather high price Dynon is charging for the SV-BAT-320, I'm curious if anyone has rebuilt the pack rather than replace it. The pack appears to be a simple 3S2P 11.1v arrangement of 18680 cells, and given that there are only 2 wires going into the pack it would indicate the BMS is...
Well, I beg to differ, but it did fix itself. Now whether or not it stays fixed is another question. I have , in the past, experienced events, such as a locked screen, that resolved itself, and has never reoccurred. I’m hoping that’s the case here.
I had an odd occurrence happen yesterday, and I wonder if anyone else has experienced this. After startup, I discovered that the map knob (right side) wouldn't adjust the map range. Intermittently, it might adjust one step, but the push function worked normally. I rebooted the unit, but the...
I haven't had a chance to test Safe Glide in the air since I installed the update, but I attempted to activate it on the ground by pressing and holding the "Nearest" button. Nothing happened. Is this function able to be tested on the ground, or is it only possible to activate it in flight?
Having played around with the settings on my SkyView autopilot, I'm wanting to go back to square one. Can someone post the default settings, or point me to where I'd find them? In addition, if any of you RV-6 drivers out there are totally happy with your autopilot's behavior, I'd be interested...
It just seems so logical to provide a sim. Maybe they consider it an unnecessary expense that will not generate any revenue. I respectfully disagree. Particularly noteworthy is the fact that the competition (Garmin) offers one, and that puts Dynon at a disadvantage when a consumer cannot...
Great advice. Thank you. I’ll try both suggestions. Strangely, I did once briefly get the red X displayed, but it quickly went away and returned to its bouncing.
Flying along the other day, for some reason, I tried to "pinch to zoom" my screen. Now I know Skyview doesn't zoom like this, but I guess I'm just spending too much time on my iPad! Anyway, the result of this was the screen entirely freezing up. Nothing would work. Rebooting the system brought...
Taxiing out the other day, my #1 CHT suddenly spiked to 500+ and bounced around intermittently (this caused a reoccurring alarm, which I couldn't silence). After getting in the menus and turning off the alarm, I took off. In flight, the reading stayed mostly at the high limit, but occasionally...
Thanks Bill! This is just what I was looking for. I’ve edited the widget, and all is well. I can see how I’ll be changing the layout after I get some time behind the panel.

I just finished my SkyView installation and so far am very impressed with its capabilities. One function I cannot seem to find however is fuel “duration”. I have the “Red Cube” installed and can see fuel flow, and fuel remaining, but I was expecting an option to view fuel duration in...
