Thanks for your input I contacted Dynon and they were unable to give me any info on how they did the brightness mod to the LCD panel I may order a new lcd panel on eBay and install an led strip instead of the CFL tube.

I have a spare for a backup, neither one has the bright screen.

I’m in the same boat, had recently sent back my D180 for an issue with it not starting up. Asked for the upgrade, no more parts available to do it, I was told. You can try to buy one and sell yours or use a generic sunshade that’s sold for GPS. Or you can upgrade to a Skyview, for a bunch of bucks.

Anyone know what part number for the servo mounting bracket for the SV32C capstan for pitch on the Zenith 601/650?

My D180 is back to Dynon for repair I was able to purchase another D180 as a backup unit I would like to transfer all my settings from my original D180 to my backup D-180 so I don’t have to spend hours recalibrating everything. Of course when I tried to transfer the file it wouldn’t cooperate...
