I want to follow up on this to help someone else. The output on the D180 needs to be set to Format 4. The RS232 input on the GTX335 needs to be set to ALT FMT 1 100ft. Only ALT FMT 1 will work. Finally connected to a Garmin help guy that could help.

Has anyone used the D180 as an altitude source for the GTX335? I am trying to do that but no joy so far. I had been using it on a 327 for 10 years, input to the RS232 "in" pin. Now I can't get it to work on the 335. Not sure if I have the settings wrong or what. If anyone has this...

Got it. Soaked it overnight in water, then got a piece of nylon weed whip string though it. There is a ridge or something in the middle that makes it very difficult to get a wire through it.

The bottom one is open, air goes through the main passage and the tiny vent hole. I can get not air through the center passage nor the other tiny hole which I presume are connected, is that correct? Thanks for the help.

I got a mud daber in my Pitot.   ::) I need to know how to clean this out.   I've cleaned regular pitot tubes many times but not this kind that has the AOA feature.   I have taken the lines off but it looks like it is sealed with silicone. Will the tip screw off? I'm afraid to try to hard...

With the connector unpluged from the EDC.  Yellow to Red=9.96K ohms and Yellow to Blue=9.22k ohms. Just checked and I do get the same temp reading with the OAT unpluged form the EDC.

Should have noted that in the original post. It is set for type 2 OAT.

I can't seem to find the pin out for the 3 wire oat to the DB9. Blue + shield goes to Ground but Yellow and Red to ?? on the DB9. Thanks
