    The MAP sensor seems to be made of some sort of plastic. Should I mount this forward or behind the firewall?

    That is the diagram I saw that prompted my original question. Just wondering if anyone has tried mounting the ADAHRS under the empennage fairing, it would certainly make installation easier and also ease future maintenance access.

    Thinking about where to position the ADAHRS box on an RV8 project I have just taken over. I see most people seem to build a shelf behind the rear baggage area but as the turtle deck is already fitted on my aircraft is the area beneath the empennage fairing a viable alternative location?
