Thanks for the insight. My Dynon WIFI dongles are about 18” from the iPad and my Stratux is 3-4 feet away which also makes me think it is the Dynon and not the iPad or ForeFlight.
Why did Dynon design the HDX system so that you need a separate WIFI dongle for every screen instead of just one dongle for the system? I think this might be the reason that the WIFI disconnects frequently from my iPad running Foreflight. FYI, The same iPad when connected to my Stratux never...
I completed the update last week and also updated the transponder as well. I have not had any traffic dropouts but I am still having issues with the WIFI connection to Foreflight frequently dropping and reconnecting. I thought this SW version was supposed to remedy that problem. And yes the...
I have both a quick disconnect switch (just like addressed in the Manual), very easy to do especially if you already have an unused button on the stick. I also have a fused toggle switch on my panel that will shut off the power to the servos for those times I don't want them on.
I don't know anything about Garmin (other than it is expensive and they don't like to play with others). I do have about 700 hours on my non-IFR Dynon HDX system and I think it is good...not perfect. As you have clearly discovered, Dynon does not make an certified IFR navigator so in order to...
Thanks, I am in the process of moving them...I find it very strange that you can only connect one device to the Dynon Wifi. If that is the case then they just should use Bluetooth.
Thanks for that insight. I suspect both are connected and will try it, but I have been flying with these devices for several years and many hours and the problem has just gotten much worse. I guess WIFI isn't really wifi then and more like Bluetooth...
I am wondering if others are experiencing WiFi dropping on their HDX Systems? Background: I have a dual screen HDX system (yes I have both WiFI dongles installed) that I have been flying behind for almost five years and 700 hours. I have on occasion had problems where the wifi connection...
Do you have a list of the non-Dynon Wi-Fi dongles that will work with the HDX? I have tried several different dongles and have not had any success with the HDX seeing them…
I had a discussion yesterday with a fellow pilot who uses a Skyview Touch in his RV-12. I have an HDX (2 Screens) in my VFR experimental Zenith, I also carry an IPad with Foreflight. I was under the impression that I needed a subscription to a Chart Data service in order to have my Dynon maps...
