I also agree 100%
I had a failure in MVFR. I have since installed a second Dynon unit.
I point out that the failed ADAHRS drives your Autopilot, and even if you have a backup instrument, unless you have it driving your autopilot you will have to hand fly the airplane.
Installing a second ADAHRS...
I loaded the new Skyview software today and (while the engine was not running) I noticed two spikes in Amps.
I downloaded the data from todays flight and found that the two spikes (again while the engine was not running) were 43 amps and 53 amps. Both were only recorded for 1 second and were...
I could but I don't find it annoying enough to try to troubleshoot. I have found some reference that the RF may be causing the problem with similar problems with LED's.
I installed blue strip LED's with a dimmer. The only problem I have experienced is that the lights go out when I key the x-mitter.
I'm sure there is some way to fix that but I haven't found it that annoying.
It depends on what you mean by the autopilot chasing altitude.
I think my autopilot is tuned about as well as can be expected, In cruise I notice a plus or minus 20 feet oscillation in relative smooth air to very light chop. Sometimes it may be plus or minus 10 feet in very smooth air. Some...
I flew today and verified that my IPad connected without incident and that the Dynons were ready to receive download data from my IPad. Since my USB's were up to date obviously there was no data to transfer.
I received a pre-release copy of the software from Dynon in November and tried Slingshot using my IPad. No problems other than the complete update took a little over an hour. About the same amount of time to do my USB's at home.
My IPad just had another firmware update and I haven't tried to...
I also am in the "I don't have a problem" group.
With Dynon's next firmware update you can transfer the data wirelessly (if you have a Dynon dongle) from an IPAD to the USB in the airplane.
I for one do not want Dynon to change providers. I have a Lifetime subscription that I don't want to lose.
I recently had an issue with the ADHARS. At engine startup the system had red X's and a notification that ADHARS had failed. I shut down the system, and engine and restarted. The screens booted normally with no further warnings.
After takeoff I was maneuvering to climb through a break in the...
After each flight I download/export the flight data (to a USB drive) and then clear all datalogs in the Dynon.
I keep a paper record of the flight in my logbook and use Savvy as my repository of flight data.
Since I have a Rotax 912 iS engine, I also have a record of engine data kept on the...
