I had this EXACT same problem and Dynons advice about the false trigger/electrical interference was the same, however my set up was working all fine for 18 months. It wasn’t anything like that it was the transponder itself. My transponder was out of warranty so I sent it to trig for repair but...
Trig have mine at the moment, as the Dynon is a TT21 with modified software and they think my issue is a software thing between trig and Dynon so I’ll wait and see what they say next week hopefully

I had this with my rotax 914. The rev counter was correct up to 2600rpm but then the gauge read double when checked against the rotax program on a laptop. The pulse setting was set to 1. The solution for me was to insert a 27k ohm resistor in the pulse wire from the TCU to the ems.
