Agreed, I think all companies will have problems, I understand that.
There are some things big companies and small companies can learn from each other.
Contacting customers quickly when there is a problem is a service level I would expect, especially from a smaller company. If there is...
I also had the problem on two IFR flights. Spend few hours troubleshooting and just found this thread few minutes ago. Just sent an email to SA asking them to add my email to their notification list....sometimes our experimental GA world is a bit too lax
When calibrating AOA with the new software (16.6) the manual states we need to "oscillate the aircraft between +\- 5 degrees pitch 4 times", does this "pitch oscillation" need to be performed between each stall\flap configuration or only once at the beginning of the entire calibration process...
The "pitch bucking" has gotten better in terms of how often it occurs and has gotten less in intensity when it occurs...
I think I "tuned" this out via AP settings.
Seems to happen more in very calm conditions. I am still not 100 percent satisfied or confident with LPV performance.
Would any other RV10 drivers be willing to share their AutoPilot settings? I would than compare with mine and see if any of the big differences may be causing my issue.
I did think about this one. The parameter is called "Pitch Lost Motion Compensation". On the first approach when I tried to dampen the motion by hand, I did not feel any dead travel or clunking in the control links as the pitch "bucked" up\down. Also, the control rod system on RV's is pretty...
I was out doing some practice approaches in my RV10. I typically run 100 knots during approaches. I am running the latest software\firmware. Until today I have been quite satisfied with the A\P performance. I did a lot of tuning about 6 months ago and have been quite happy.
Today was...
I just checked, I am also running Seattle Avionics ChartData manager 6.6.0.2 and also am using the stubby SanDisks but mine are 16GB. Maybe it is the Windows via Parallel that is making this issue so hard.....
Just finished updating my two thumb drives with Seattle Avionics.
A typical update today.....1st thumb drive updated easy peasy and second one had taken about 4 tries, several reformats and almost done....
...dam what a painful process. This application has to be updated soon.......to make...
Yikes... I have been updating my software with both screens powered up.....I did not know only one should be powered up at a time.
I wonder if I can try to reload the software?
I have been on the road for past couple months. Getting ready to resume flying so I updated to new 16.3.2 software. (Dual HDx 10" system)
During the update process I noticed the com control panel screen kept popping up and I could not close it by touching the "X" or the return key, I could...
Anybody had success using Seattle ChartData manager using Parallel (virtual windows) I keep getting an error that Seattle Chart manager thinks the USB is formated "prlsf" vs "fat32"? The parallel window machine shows prlsf format but my mac still shows FAT32 format. I cannot figure out how...
