Using EMS input 23 ( General Input Type C) for detection of Fuel Pump Running

The EMS is not happy with signals that exceed 5V. Here is what I did. https://www.vx-aviation.com/sprocket/photos/panel_elec/schematics-2/EMS.pdf

    Skyview Wish List

For backseat displays: https://www.huvver.tech/huvver-avi-download-version-8/ These devices were designed to take SkyView data (either wired or over WiFi) and provided a suite of functions.

Dangerous software error. The autopilot switches off during flight!

Mike, you should check your datalogs. The AP dropping off line can be caused by more than one problem, such as loss of gps signal, an intermittent autopilot button or even a flakey power connection. Dynon will probably be able to help when you submit a diagnostics file. Years ago, I had a...

Dynon Transponders and ADS-B in Canada

I have been busy upgrading the tailBeaconX control head by adding touchscreen capability and audio output. It now has completed flight testing and is available from MakerPlane. New touchscreen version of the huVVer-AVI with the TBX App...

Radio hash Noise when Turn on HDX

You could use a single resistor to audio ground and tie Audio Out Left and Right together At point A. I show independent resistors for stereo intercom systems to support the possibility of future stereo warnings, like OnSpeed AOA systems use.

Radio hash Noise when Turn on HDX

A solution to SkyView noise is to terminate the audio outputs of the EFIS with 10 ohm resistors to ground. This will attenuate both audio alerts and any noise, Then, increase the audio level in the SkyView settings. Some of the of the noise that you are getting may be from the dimmer circuitry...

Dynon intercom for 4 place aircraft

For listen only (backseat pax), just connect the pax headphone phone jacks in parallel with the copilot or pilot phone outputs from the intercom. Do not connect the pax mic jacks to anything. If you want to listen to the pax, things get more complicated, requiring a mixer and more circuitry...

    Audio Panel

Here is an application drawing for the AMX-2A. MakePlane also sells the AMX-10A that has both mono and stereo inputs. FMI https://www.huvver.tech/open-source-hardware/ https://www.huvver.tech/wp-content/uploads/AMX-2A_install_C1.pdf...

    What's Everybody Flying?

Original build: Vans RV-9A. Second build: Harmon Rocket. Current build, with 5 hrs flight time: Rans S-21. All Dynon based…. D10A….SkyView…SkyView HDX. The panel photo shows a set of discrete flight instrument that interwork with the SkyView system, including an OnSpeed energy display and a...

How do you charge the backup battery?

I purchased a 12V, 30A power supply and adjusted it to 14V. I connected a 7A breaker to the output to make a GPU. I charge the SkyView battery by plugging into my 12V 'cigar lighter’ port and pulling all of breakers except the SkyView and 12V port power. To simplify, I also fabricated a...

    Certified Audio Panel/Intercom

I posted this for the benefit of others... I know you are one of the long time Dynon experts and I have nothing to teach you! :{)

    Certified Audio Panel/Intercom

PS Engineering makes the Dynon intercom, Trig makes Dynon radios and transponders, and I make the MakerPlane audio mixers… so a brand does not always signify the actual manufacturer. Not a criticism or endorsement, just an observation.

    Dynon com low audio volume

Here is a simple bypass circuit that plugs into the intercom harness when it is removed. The rightmost image is the actual wiring. If you really want to go to the extreme, it’s also possible to incorporate the SkyView audio alerts into the design. I could tell you how, but it involves...

Dynon Transponders and ADS-B in Canada

I have had multiple conversations over the years with Dynon reps on this very topic. They inferred that Trig, who makes their existing transponder brick, would have a solution. I couldn't wait, so I met with uAvionix and helped convince them to develop the tailBeaconX, then I participated in...
