So I am using this sensor and trying to set it up for inches of water to be displayed on the EMS. I have used the formula as shown in Reply 4 but am getting readings that are not accurate (as compared to an actual water manometer) When I work the equation (limited skills using Excel) I get...
On the drawing you attached your intercom has dedicated Mic Hi, Mic Lo, and PPT, the PMA only has Mic Hi and Mic Key, so it still does clarify how to handle the MicLO grounding issue.
Jchang, you are correct, my bad, thx
I would appreciate the groups wisdom on the puzzle because I would like to get it right the first time. I am sure someone here has connected the Dynon Com to a PS engineering audio panel...
I am connecting Dynons Com radio to a PS engineering PMA5000EX, and I am not really understanding pin 2...
I went through this on an older thread, although there are some work-arounds, the easiest thing to do is buy lightspeeds $99 converter to convert the advance to a 0-5V format (instead of millivolts) the converter can be found on their accessories page...
They make a cutter designed to cut the paint and allow you to remove the screws without damaging the paint

I can confirm that there is a L-Comm Panel mount USB extender that does not work. I know because I went through this last year. Unfortunately I cannot find the part number but they have two products that have the same panel size format and one of them does not work for some reason. Sorry but...
So I am trying to wrap my head around adding and defining a special sensor/widgit to my EMS. It is to show ignition advance on an electronic ignition. Basically the Lightspeed Ignition unit provides an output in millivolts that directly corresponds to the advance, ie. 0-40 mv equals 0-40...
Maybe I am being a dumba__, but is there some reason I cannot follow the above links regarding Weasels solution to getting the Lightspeed output mapped to the Dynon EMS?
Just as a follow up. the original L-Com USB extensions that I bought never worked. They were sold as USB 3.0, but I am slightly suspicious that they may have been an old stock product (1.0?) In either case, the LCom 2.0 extensions in the link above, did indeed work correctly...
Thanks for this update. I have been following this thread because I have an intermittent, somewhat infrequent "pitch servo off line" It is mounted within a foot of the transponder antenna, I will try the tin foil :)
I am just starting to set my autopilot up and also have something of a hunting oscillation on the roll servo. I have turned the sensitivity up and it has helped, but would love to hear the best way to tune out this "hunting sine wave"
Software us up to date. It is a dual 7" system and only the LS display has the backup battery, and I had been doing the updates on the RS screen, and shutting it down pretty quickly. If the engine runs at all all the timers/fuel totalizers work perfectly, so sounds as you describe, I was...
I think I may have found a bug in at least our system. If I fuel up, and update the computer to show full tanks, it accepts the amount and shows the proper fuel remaining. However I have been shutting down the system after this updating of the quantity. When I boot it back up, the fuel...
We are in the initial phases of test flying a PA-18 Replica kit. I am having strange readings on the fuel computer and timers. Specifically, the Gallons remaining is way off even though the Gallons used seems to be in the ballpark. Also the air trip is higher than it should be, although run...

I erased and reformatted the thumbdrive,
and deleted the
California.SEC.MBTiles.sqlite and
California.SEC.chartdata.Dynon.key files from the data manager folder. Thus forcing the program to re-download them. The California.SEC.Chartdata file is now 300,000+ KB on then thumbdrive...
Good to know the size it needs to be. I'll delete it (again) and force it to re-download. Why the App shows all greens as if the downloads are correct I do not know... It will be interesting to see if the download on the PC is also incomplete.
