    Dynon NAV/Comm??

Now that Trig is selling the very nice TX-56A, it would be great for Dynon to offer a SkyView intergrated version (just like you did for the Dynon Comm). For an IFR panel this would be a perfect addition to a GNC-355 GPS TSO navigator, along with being less expensive and more user friendly than...

Own Ship Called Out As Traffic...and..."No ADS-B-GPS Lost"

You want the SkyView GPS input to be the GPS-250, not the GTN-650. The GPS-250 provides the position information for your moving map, ADS-B in data, backup speed/altitude for the PFD display and such. The GTN-650 is your certified navigator for IFR - so it feeds the PFD (and autopilot) if you...

Own Ship Called Out As Traffic...and..."No ADS-B-GPS Lost"

I suspect your ADS-b GPS position is coming from the GTN-650, not the SkyView 250 receiver (the 250 does not meet the ADS-b out criteria). As such your SkyView getting GPS signal does not mean the GTN-650 has a valid GPS postion. Carl

Using an iPad as a repeater screen for the HDX?

For those of us flying with a GIB, has anyone come up with a way to repeat the SkyView HDX display onto the GIB‘s iPad? I know the SkyView WiFi will provide GPS data to Foreflight on an iPad, but I want to repeat the entire display. Carl

    Dynon NAV/COMM???

Pinging again on the hope that somewhere, someone at Dynon is thinking about offering a NAV/Comm. Carl

    Backup ADAHARS drops out

I assume this worked at some point. If so, before you go overboard I suggest you check each network connector securely plugged in. If that does not fix it, then on the connectors associated with the secondary ADAHRS (and there may be serveral depending on how you did the network) look for a...

    Autopilot installation

I can also report the default autopilot settings work well in RVs. At some point you might try the SkyView autopilot tuning procedure, but no need to rush into this. Carl

Can SkyView Power the ACK E04 Serial Interface?

You are mixing data into the ELT and power to keep the ELT battery charged. A SkyView serial output will provide the ELT with position information. No problem. For power I suggest proving it via whatever ”AUX” buss you may have for USB plug, panel lights, fans and such. The ELT does not need...

    Dynon NAV/COMM???

Several more months have passed so I’m again pinging. Dynon - any hints, like if this is being considerd? I’d guess taking the Trig NAV/Comm and applying your SkyView software would be a low risk path to market. Perhaps you all have a better approach. I just don’t want to do a fourth panel...

    Wagging VOR Needle

There is nothing here to suggest any root problem other than your VOR receiver. Carl

Replacement for EFIS D10A as Backup for Skyview system

While waiting for the D10A replacement, consider the AV-30 over the G5. More bang for the buck. Carl

    Dynon and Avidyne IFD

As been stated, it makes little difference between any of these TSO GPS IFR navigators playing well with the SkyView. The ARINC does the needed translation when flying using the flight plan, IFR approach or missed approach feed from the TSO Navigator, then displays it on the moving map, and...

    SkyView Reports STANDBY NETWORK ERROR

Yep - had the same problem. For me it was an intermittent ADAHRS backup network error. This made it simple, either the connector at the panel or the one at the ADAHRS modules was the issue. I found the connector at the panel had a bad pin by making a jumper out of a mail pin to ring out the...

    Audio panel recommendations?

Too bad if the PDA360EX is discontinued. I’ll guess I’ll need to look for a runner up. Carl

    Audio panel recommendations?

PS Engineering PDA360EX. I like it so much I’ll put the same on in the new project. I find I use the Blue Tooth for calls and music much more that I thought I would. https://www.steinair.com/product/pda360ex-audio-panel/ Carl

    Localizer inner and outer markers.

Your Val Nav 2000 does not have a Marker Beacon receiver. If you really want one (few people do anymore) you will need to buy one, add a Marker Beacon antenna, indicator lights and wire the audio to your audio panel. The other option is to replace your audio panel with one that has a Marker...

    EGT Is Celsius On Spreadsheets

I also just use the exported data onto an Excell spreadsheet. I suggest the data is far more susceptible to accuracy of data collection than temperature units of measure. Note - by editing the spreadsheet to the data run periods, and triming down to a few columns of interest like EGT, Fuel...

    SkyView network - nice feature

Over the last few weeks I have gotten an intermittent “standby network failure” alert on both ADHARS modules - including the suspect connector pins. A few minutes of ringing out the one network line associated with this yielded the problem, a female pin on one 9 pin connector that did not make...

remote NAV radio for SkyView HDX

Perhaps Dynon can strike another deal with Trig and push through a SkyView version of the Trig NAV/COM: https://www.trig-avionics.com/product/stack-nav-com/

    HDX Lean Assist Question

I suggest careful review of the SkyView EMS logs after a GAMI run is as good as whatever you are getting from Savvy. Considering the pilot can see multiple sets of GAMI data runs using the EMS download I offer he will have opportunity to do comparative data analysis. Very helpful when doing a...
