    Transponder Fail

    Well, we went back and checked all of our wires and nothing looked bad. All connections were solid and the unit failed again. We have sent it to Dynon to have it checked out. I'll keep you all posted as to the outcome.

    Mark, I just went through the same scenario and posted it about a week ago. Yesterday I flew up to our builder assist (2 Bums Aviation, Inc.) and Nathan found the fault in about 10 seconds. This was after I chased every connection with a multimeter. It turned out to be a pin that wasn't seated...

    Thanks for the input everyone. I will be looking at this over the weekend and get back to you with results. I am thinking there is a wiring issue as this is a new install and it was working properly for 10 plus hours before going off line. Probably a bad connection somewhere.

    On our 10th hour of test flying our new plane, our transponder went offline. We also have been getting a message "No ADSB Out" since day one. I don't know if our panel installer tested the XPNDR at installation into the aircraft. Just wondering if this would help.

    Hardwiring to panel

    I just ordered my D1 and would like to have a a connection wired into my panel rather than use the cigar lighter as power. This is going on a Van's RV6A. Please advise. Thank you :)
