    Tune Funkwerk ATR833 from Database

Hi Knut, Thank you for the information. A the moment I am redoing some of the wiring in the panel and I will add a pluggable serial connection between SykView and the ATR833 as well as between the GPSMAP 495 and the ATR833. So can try both possibilities without opening the panel again. As soon...

    Tune Funkwerk ATR833 from Database

Hi Knut, Thanks. The part I'm missing is the setup of the ATR833 (baudrate, protocol etc.)... MCRider

    Tune Funkwerk ATR833 from Database

Hi foxbravo, how do you have to set up the ATR833 to tune in frequencies via serial interface? There is nothing in the manual... Thanks and Regards MCRider

    Input impedance Type C pins

I just wanted to let you know that everything is working fine. The aileron trim servo is the same thing used in RC airplanes. The signal (sort of PWM with a pulse width between 1ms and 2ms and the pulse width directly controlling the position of the servo). To get the position into the SkyView...

    Jumping CHT and oil temp

Thanks for the help. It might take some time before I can check that. I will post my findings here.

Display of traffic without position information

Hi, I am thinking about getting a Garrecht TRX-1500 or a PowerFLARM CORE and link it to the SkyView. I could not find any information how traffic without exact position data is displayed (targets without ADS-B position data or FLARM data only has distance information - and this will be the...

    Jumping CHT and oil temp

Hello, there is a little problem with my SkyView: Every time the flaps are operated (the motor draws quite a lot of current and the voltage drops below 12V) the cylinder head and oil temperature go up a few degrees (original Rotax 912S sensors). This can be seen clearly in the log files. What...

    "Flight" Timers

I think the timer you are looking for (most people would call it "block time") is not that easy to implement. You need a reliable indication that the aircraft is moving (slowly). Airspeed does not work (wind can be faster that taxiing speed) and the GPS position is jumpy sometimes (pretending a...

    "Flight" Timers

This is what I have on my EMS screen (Version 6.2): "FLIGHT": Total time spent in the air "HOBBS": Total engine run time "FLT TIME": Same as "FLIGHT" but for the current flight only (automatically reset if engine is running, i.e. oil pressure goes from 0 to a minimum value I don't remember)...

    Fine-tuning AOA

Are there any plans to consider the flaps position for the AOA display / audible warning in future software versions? If yes, I would connect the flap position potentiometer the next time the EMS box and the cabling are accessible. Otherwise I could save myself the work (flap position can easily...

    GRT Current Sensor

Thank you for the information. A fix would be nice but is not urgent.

    back up battery

I also had a problem with the battery test not going through - version 6.2 fixed that for me. There is a workaround: Export the settings, edit the following lines in the dfg file and change them to: battery_test_date=08-12-2013 battery_test_length=45 and load the dfg file. I sure this is not...

    GRT Current Sensor

Okay - but I still can't find it in the data. The sensor is connected to pin 31 but the "GP INPUT 13" column is empty. I have already mailed the data files to the support email address. Just to put it in perspective: It is not a big deal - I just wanted to help to fix a little bug (it there is...

    GRT Current Sensor

Did a test flight today with the changes - still no amps in the log file.  :( What is the best way to send you the files (less than 600k ZIPped)? PMs do not allow attachments.

    GRT Current Sensor

    I think I might have found it by myself: Sensor definition: >>> sensor={ id=AMMETER HALL EFF +1.5 (GRT CS-01 TWO LOOPS) function=AMPS pins=C37_P8 C37_P22 C37_P23 C37_P31 name=AMPS <<< dfg file: >>> c37_p31={ valid=1 name=BATT...

    Input impedance Type C pins

No problem. Thanks for the answer. So I have to change "low_resistance=PULL_UP_10K" to "low_resistance=NONE" and "high_resistance=PULL_UP_10K" to "high_resistance=NONE" in the "sensor={  id=POSITION" section? This will probably mean that the elevator trim input (which uses a potentiometer)...

    GRT Current Sensor

Just one little problem left: The measurement does not appear in the user log data. The "Amps" column seems to be hardwired to the shunt sensor definition instead of looking at the "function=AMPS" assignment in the sensor definition file. Or am I making a mistake?

    GRT Current Sensor

It took a very long time before I could mount the GRT CS-01 with two loops and a modified sensor definition. Now it is done and it works (I still have to verify the measured current with an ammeter but the readings seem to make sense). Just in case this information is useful for anyone...
