    912iS Fuel Pressure fluctuations

That is correct, I replaced the fuel pressure sensor and that solved my fluctuation in fuel pressure indications.

    912iS Fuel Pressure fluctuations

I have a 912iS and Skyview system. At about 100 hours time in service I began to have fuel pressure fluctuations. After about 20 to 30 minutes in cruise flight the pressure would drop to around 37 psi. According to the Rotax Service Center the fuel pressure regulator is seldom, if ever, a...

Using "IAS" for maintaining pitch in cruise flight

When you do analyze the logs, I would be interested in the altitude hold accuracy- how many feet above and below your autopilot holds altitude. Also the TAS range while the autopilot is holding altitude. Particularly data recorded during some turbulence.

Using "IAS" for maintaining pitch in cruise flight

There you go, that 5 knot difference is the autopilot climbing and descending to keep up with the fluctuations of updrafts and downdrafts. Do you download your stored flight information from the Dynon and analyze it?

Using "IAS" for maintaining pitch in cruise flight

Only fluctuation is from the rising and descending air columns that the airplane fly's through thereby causing the altimeter/ADAHRS to sense the change in pressure altitude and cause the autopilot to command a climb or descent. The reason the airplane climbs and descends when in the IAS mode is...

Using "IAS" for maintaining pitch in cruise flight

Again, this is off the point but it seems to me that fluctuating pressure indications cannot be cured by an autopilot adjustment. I flew the airplane again and made a more accurate calculation to see if flying in IAS mode is advantageous over the altitude hold mode. The altitude changes were in...

Using "IAS" for maintaining pitch in cruise flight

The issue as I see it is not that the 20 feet altitude cycles are a problem. Trying to maintain altitude while hand flying with great precision in turbulence would result in the same increases and decreases in airspeed. Just as in hand flying, the most efficient way to deal with turbulence...

Using "IAS" for maintaining pitch in cruise flight

My Dynon autopilot maintains altitude within plus or minus 20 feet. The cycle is up 20 feet and then down 20 feet. Each "up" cycle includes a loss of airspeed and RPM and a gain of airspeed and RPM going down. In very smooth air it isn't too noticeable but in turbulent air the changes in...

    VNAV function

Again, thanks for the response. I flew the VNAV procedure several days ago and everything went according to plan. I found that the auto pilot elevator response was very active and got a pitch slip message more than once.

    Thanks again for the reply.

    VNAV function

Thanks for the reply. I was aware of that but don't recall if those indications were present when I made my first attempt. Still I have my original question. Can you accomplish all of that when attempting to intercept the course outside the magenta course line? Thanks.

    VNAV function

I have checked the previous posts and seen several videos of the use of the VNAV function when selecting the Direct TO a selected runway.  When using the Skyview only (no other source) the display shows a magenta line from the runway threshold to approximately the FAF.  I attempted two...

WiFi adapter inop on 7" display w/FltPlanGo

N214ST- Yes have done that and more many times over. The Android devices connect to the WiFi adapters- the Dynon's show the adapters are enabled- the problem is when I try to connect using FltPlan Go the devices show "Error failed to connect to the Dynon Panel". I have a very, very, very old...

WiFi adapter inop on 7" display w/FltPlanGo

I installed two WiFi adapters on my 7" Skyview screens and have tried to connect using FltPlan Go. Two devices (phone and tablet) will not connect. FltPlan Go contacted Dynon and found that they have found the same problem, only on the 7" screen. Does anyone use this same combination...

No engine information on display from 912iS

My first engine start revealed that the engine screen on my Skyview displays only show fuel pressure. All the information sent from the CAN bus is missing- Red XX. Any suggestion on where to start? I downloaded the most recent software but will re-do again tomorrow just in case. If only part...

CAN GND HIC A AND HIC B on Rotax 912 iS installati

For those that have installed a 912iS along with a Dynon EMS Skyview, where are you picking up the CAN GND Pin #4 for HIC A and CAN GND Pin #6 on HIC B? The CAN HIGH and CAN LOW are picked up from the Dynon EMS connector from pins 36 and 37 but I cannot find a dedicated wire in the Dynon harness...
